THE ISSUE

The Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene
in partnership with three international multi-million dollar entities
Upward Sports - Fellowship of Christian Athletes -Sports Facility Advisors
proposes a sports complex in our neighborhood
by expanding their current campus
This is part of a ten year growth plan by the church.
The project is massive in scope and will cost millions.
There will be no revenue for Oro Valley as OVCN is tax exempt.
Their plan calls for 10,000 hours of use per year
above and beyond their current worship services and events.
Traffic and noise will increase dramatically directly impacting
our residential and ranch style neighborhood.
Stadium lighting and water runoff will create a negative impact.

The blue boxes represent the 14 adjoining residents (within 150') that have filed a written protest with the Town of Oro Valley opposing the rezone.

Are You Aware...

• The church has threatened legal action if the Town does not grant the rezone.
• Despite claims by OVCN, there is no overflow parking agreement with AMPHI.
• Stadium lights are projected to be on until 10 PM (same as the town) school nights?
• The noise and traffic studies were done on capacities and zoning such that the new​ scheduled events will fill in the "low spots" of each, bringing the level of both noise and traffic to the continuous level (7 days a week) of normal church activities and CDO assembling and adjourning.​​
